WE DID IT AGAIN: A NEW GOLD MEDAL AT THE INTERNATIONAL COFFEE TASTING

MAXIMA wins its sixth Gold Medal

The 2023 Summer Edition of the International Coffee Tasting, the prestigious contest held by IIAC (the International Institute of Coffee Tasters), has just ended in a very positive way for Caffè Morandini: MAXIMA has been awarded another Gold Medal.

Eighteen are the Gold Medals Caffè Morandini has obtained since the Contest first edition in 2006. This is not only a great honor for us, becoming one of the most-awarded roasteries within our national borders, but, above all, it is also a demonstration, coming from an influential organization, that our quality standard has, constantly, maintained a very high level over time.
In addition, this is the sixth Gold Medal for our MAXIMA, a product which proves, once again, to be of a superior quality.

The Gold Medal is the award IIAC Tasters give to coffees that, after their tests, turned out to be top class. The judges work completely blindfolded in accordance with the most stringent sensory analysis standards; at the end a score from 0 to 100 is given to each product. The awarding criterion is decided according to the number and the average quality of the samples received by the Institute during each edition: at the end of this session, as a very high number of very high-quality samples has been tested, the commission has decided to assign the Gold Medal only to coffees obtaining a score of 85 / 100 or above in the maximum number accounting for the 25% of each tasting session ranking.
